Come get your Lifeguard Certification with us!!!

- Successful completion will certify you in Lifeguarding, CPR, AED & First Aid for 2 years.

- Must be 18 years of age. The cost is $250 per class.

Pool Session 1:

Saturday, April 27 (10am - 6pm)

Pool Session 2:

Sunday, April 28 (10am - 6pm)

Registration window: March 1st - April 20th

This course is delivered in a Blended Learning Format.

Participants will complete an online portion and in-person training sessions.

FAU Aquatic Center

About the FAU Aquatic Center

The Florida Atlantic University Aquatic Center features an Olympic size pool and is home to FAU's Men and Women Swimming and Diving programs.

The pool has hosted the Independent Collegiate Conference Swim Meet and has served as the winter training facility for hundreds of collegiate swimmers.

The FAU Aquatic Center features a 50-meter 8 lanes pool with an attached diving well for 1 & 3-meter events, as well as a separate 25-yards 6 lanes pool.

In addition, the FAU Aquatic Center is frequently used by FAU students and community members, such as:

Academic Classes, Varsity Teams, Summer Camps, and FAU Clubs.
Many non-FAU Clubs and Organizations also call the FAU Aquatic Center their home.

Our beautiful outdoor pool can be used used for training and meets 365 days a year!

Meet JR, your Lifeguard instructor!

JR is one of our Masters Coaches. He has over 40 years of aquatic experience teaching and working. He is a former Beach Lifeguard and Beach Patrol Chief for Sarasota County, Florida. For the past 40 plus years he has been a waterman and a Martial Arts Instructor. He holds a black belt in three different martial arts and is a former US Military Karate Champion of Europe. You can find JR on the pool deck coaching at lunchtime.
